Meet Eric Thomas. If you follow me on Twitter, you’d know by a lot of my tweets that I am a very big fan of this man. He is one of the most passionate individuals I have ever seen. If you don’t know his story or even who is, I think that you should definitely know. Before Eric Thomas became successful at what he does, he was a man who lacked purpose in his life. At the age of 16, he was a high school dropout living in the streets of Detroit, MI. He basically had nothing going for him. To make a long story short, Eric Thomas is now a pastor in Michigan, father and a husband, has a Master’s degree and currently working on Ph.D., recently released a new book and now a world-wide known motivational speaker who speaks about reaching success. Eric Thomas speaks about reaching success through our passion of wanted to succeed and hard work. One of his more infamous quotes is “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.” This quote became famous when he spoke to a group of young kids, and the video of it went viral on YouTube. He preaches that there is nothing in life that we can’t do. We just have to set our minds to it and go get it! It’s as simple as that. The man is truly an individual that everyone can look at and say “If he can do it, then why can’t I?” To go from being a homeless high school dropout, to now speaking around the world is a story that must be told. But there is one more thing about this story that feels even better: We can be that same success story as well.

Take the time to watch the video. He explains his secrets to success and how we can do exactly what he has achieved. It’s very inspirational.
