If you follow me on Twitter, you probably have come to realized that I am a big fan of motivational speaker, author and teacher, Eric Thomas. In his first episode of the year, for his popular YouTube segment titled “Thank God its Monday”, Eric Thomas preaches on why certain dreams and goals may have not been accomplished in the past year. We all have dreams and goals we want to achieve, but what can we do to make those goals turn into a reality? One of my favorite quotes is: a goal is a dream with a deadline. Goals are imperative to our lives; they add purpose to our daily agenda. It’s important that we actually execute these goals, but we don’t have all the time in the world to make that happen. It’s easy to write everything up on the board and say I’m going to do this, but will we actually do what it takes to make that happen? We will reap what we sow. Basically, in translation, we will get whatever effort we put into it. There comes a time when we have to start seeing results. That’s what Eric Thomas talks about in his latest TGIM. What were we doing last year that we can do better or different this year in 2014? He bring up the word “effort” a lot in this episode. I’m not sure about y’all, but I want my dreams to turn into a reality. I’m tired of dreaming about it, I’m ready to be walking and living in it. Check out this video.
