David & Goliath

The biblical story of David and Goliath (Israelites versus Philistines) has always been used as metaphor explaining improbable victories over undeafeatable giants in our society. David, a young shepherd armored with a sling, is looked at as an underdog against the gargantuan human being known as Goliath. David’s faith in God and himself prevailed him to a victory against Goliath no one thought he could reach. But could it be possible that David was victorious before the battle even started?

In another installment of the popular TED talks segment, Malcom Gladwell speaks about how giants are most vulnerable for defeat in any situation. This involves all facets of life when it seems that things are too unbearable to withstand. Giants are not all mighty and powerful as they may seem.
