Everyday Is A Miracle

Everyday is a miracle

Our hearts should not be so hardened to the point that we do not realize everyday is a miracle. The Creator rose the sun up again. Every day I wake up, I cannot help but look at the sunrise and think “Man, God did that!” He did it again!! It is a good thing we are not God and God is God. If it was me, and I had some kids who would continually pursue other things I give them rather than me, then I would completely cut them off. But God does not do that. His love is eternal and beyond what the human mind can conceive. He continues to allow the sun to rise and allow us to enjoy his beautiful creation. One of my favorite passages of scriptures is Psalm 19:1, which says The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.” I love this scripture because it tells us that all of creation should not be just an end in itself. It should lead to something even greater. All of creation just points to the Creator. It reveals what he is like and how BIG he is. Take a second away from this post and stare at the sun and realize someone created that big fiery ball.

When you enjoy a nice beautiful breezy day on the beach with lemonade in your hand, you are not just enjoying that but you are also enjoying God. We do not always realize this but we really are!  This should lead to an even greater enjoyment of God. He is the artist of the infinite portrait that is called the universe.  He is the designer of delicious food. He is the One who created all things that give us pleasures in life. He did not have to do it this way, but God did this because he is love.

So when I say that every day is a miracle, I am saying that we should be amazed by the fact that someone is behind all of this. Someone is giving me breath to breathe as I type this right now. God is the most underappreciated person in the history of history. He is the only person that everything, and I mean completely EVERYTHING, is depended on and sustained by. But yet, we give him no credit.

I am not sure if this man was ever a Christian, but Albert Einstein once said an enlightening comment that really should be thought about everyday in the life of a Christian. He said, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”  We should be amazed that we are still alive and thank God for allowing us to see another day. The Israelites failed to see this, and we as American citizens are on the same track. God provided the Israelites with so much quail, but they failed to realize the miracle because their hearts were so hardened. They wanted Popeyes Fried Chicken instead (not really, but you get where I am coming at).

If you are reading this post, I pray that you got something out of this. If you are not a Christian, I pray that you will discover who Jesus Christ really was and once you find out, give your life to him and get to know him. This is a miracle in itself. The very fact that a person who created everything we see and breathe once walked the Earth.

Please feel free to comment on this post.

This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
