Three Unbelievable Truths In The Bible

There are so many truths in the Bible that should excite Christians. But yet, have we really grabbed a hold of what these promises really mean? It seems unbelievable, but it is so true because it comes from God. Here are just three that have really resonated with me lately. I hope that it can impact you in the same way they have impacted me.

  1. God wants to give you a rich and satisfying life on Earth- I do not buy into the prosperity theology that teaches God wants to make you rich and healthy without any trouble for the rest of your life. This is completely false teaching. But God does have an exciting will and purpose for your life that he wants to give to you. If this were not the case, as soon as salvation was accepted through Christ, we would immediately be sucked into Heaven.

The purpose and will God wants to give to you has already been given to you because it is written in his word. If God says that you can have it, then you can. Let’s take a look at the Israelites. God promised his chosen people this beautiful land flowing with milk and honey before they even reached it. However, God would not give them this prosperous land if they failed to trust him. That’s why they wondered the wilderness for 40 years. Even though God made a covenant with Israel because of Abraham’s faithfulness, he would not give them this land without his authority over their life. And the same goes for us as well. Do you know it is possible for a Christian to wonder the wilderness just like the Israelites did? It is possible for a Christian to walk a defeated lifestyle and not exercise the spiritual authority that has been given through the blood of Christ.   If God has said it in his Word, then it has already been given to you. It is up to us to reach into Heaven and bring his will onto Earth by trusting him. He will not allow us to reach the land without him.  This is not to say that life will be easy when you follow Christ, but it will definitely be worth it. Every Christian has a gift that has been given to them by God, it is up to us to align our will with God’s will and use that gift for his Kingdom.

No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I have been with Moses, I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. 6“Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7″Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. – Joshua 1:5-7

  1. You will be like Christ when he appears again-When Christ resurrected, he appeared to the disciples and did many things that gives us an idea on what we will be like in the new Heaven and new Earth. Scripture clearly tells us that we will be transformed just like him when he appears. Here are some:

We will have an indestructible body. The bodies we have now may feel good, but the inconvenient truth is that our bodies are slowly dying. Our soul never dies but our body does. God made us out of dirt and breathed the breath of life into us. So when Christ comes back, he will take our spirits that he breathed into us and give us a better pain free body that will never die. If you have a body, it needs fuel. So it implies to me that we will eat in Heaven. Remember when Jesus asked for a fish and ate it in his resurrected body? Just think, we will be able to eat any foods without the consequences of it. Christ also walked through walls and ascended into Heaven on a cloud. Scriptures says we will be like him, so who’s to say we will not be able to do just that. I’m just saying…

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.- 1 John 3:2

  1. You will never be bored in Heaven– Life has its monotonous moments. We take the same routes to work every day and a good majority of our lives are spent involving the same routines. This is a result of being apart from God. But in Heaven, in God’s presence, there will not be one second of boredom. Despite what Hollywood tries to depict Heaven as , it is so contrary to what the Bible says about Heaven. We will be spending an eternity in Heaven because it will take that amount of time to fully discover God. His very essence is infinite. He will be the most beautiful and interesting person you will ever meet.

In Heaven, you will be meeting with old Christian friends and families that passed away while we were here on Earth. We will be learning about different cultures and races because God clearly loves diversity. We will definitely have jobs that we love because there was work even before the fall of sin. The most exciting, happiest moment you have on Earth will not even measure up to the eternity of happiness you will experience in Heaven. In Psalm 16:11, it says that in God’s presence there is fullness of joy. Society has taught that God is a God of no fun. Again, that is so contrary to what the Bible teaches. It would not make sense for the originator of fun to be anti-fun. In Heaven, there will be big parties and festivals starting with the Wedding Super of the Lamb.  God is inviting us into his happiness (Matthew 25:23). He has always existed in plurality (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), which means he has always been in a loving relationship with fellowship and community. We will be in loving relationships with fellowship and community in Heaven with one another for eternity as well. God always was happy and will always be happy! The Bible does not say “God loves”, it says “God Is Love.” It’s very important that we understand this statement because it will change how we begin to look and respond towards God.

These are just some of the unbelievable truths that God’s word teaches us. It’s why the Bible is such an amazing book and has been changing lives for thousands of years and continues to be a bestseller. Satan (our spiritual enemy) wants to keep us from discovering this truth and the power it brings if we do discover it. Let’s dive deeper into this book and discover some more unbelievable truths that our Creator has promised us.

God Bless,

Jeremy
